This seat will not disturb the structure of the chair.  It will be attached through the existing holes.  This would also make a very nice class project for you to cane.  Chair as is (for class)  $179 With hand caned seat $350 With upholstered seat $250 Sturdy 24" Counter Stool Originally this counter stool had a fiber rush seat. We built a new seat and upholstered it to be very comfortable .  We used high quality foam and vinyl.  It is easy to clean and will last a long time.  The frame of the chair has been completely reglued and the finish looks great.  A great place to perch while waiting for fresh hot pastries to come out of the oven.
